A mobile app designed to help cat owners track health, behaviour, and care routines — with a focus on emotional connection and daily usability.
The pet care app market is fragmented and generic. Cat owners struggle to find a tool built around the specificities of feline behaviour — daily rhythms, health tracking, and emotional signals.
The goal was to design an app that centralised health, habits, and the cat's personality into a single interface — reducing daily friction and built to scale toward social and veterinary features.
Main pain points: forgetting vet appointments, no clear behavioural history, difficulty assessing whether symptoms required a visit.
4-tab structure: Today (daily diary), Health (vaccines, weight, medication), Profile (cat card), Explore (contextual tips). Every tab designed for one-handed use, maximum 3 taps for any action.
Focus on micro-interactions to make the daily log fast and satisfying. Swipe gestures and quick-add patterns to reduce cognitive load.

Palette built on warm tones — terracotta orange, beige, warm white — communicating care and affection without feeling childish.
Core components: event card, health badge, vertical timeline, cat profile. Every component designed with hover, active, empty, and error states.

User feedback: "finally an app that feels made for cats, not dogs."
The main challenge was balancing functional depth with everyday simplicity. Version 1 had too many fields in the log — testing revealed users only engaged with 3 of the 7 available parameters.
The answer was an adaptive log system based on each owner's habits.
